A la carte services are ones that are not included in the service you are currently providing. For example, if someone purchases your Standard Custom Itinerary planning service, hotel bookings are not included. However, you could offer hotel bookings a la carte - meaning you would charge the client for that specific service.
Note: You do not have to offer a la carte services.
The easiest way to charge for a la carte services is as a tip their itinerary.
Determine a price for each a la carte service.
Add a block of text at the top of the private itinerary you make the client explaining the cost, the terms of the service, and how they can purchase it.
Be sure to turn on the tip jar in the ...
menu on the itinerary.
Remember, you do not need to publish itineraries to share them with clients.
Here’s an example:
<aside> 🏨 The Custom Itinerary tier you purchased (Standard) does not include hotel bookings.
I can make a la carte bookings for $10 each. To purchase this service, find the tip jar at the bottom of this guide and submit $10 x the number of bookings you’d like me to make.
In the input form that follows, please specify the names of the hotels to reserve. Include dates if they are different from the ones I recommend in the itinerary above. I will reach out for your credit card information. All bookings will be refundable rates, unless a refundable rate is not available, in which case I will let you know in advance. All reservation details will be added to this itinerary once confirmed. Any changes to the reservation will be your responsibility.
